The ERA Licence enables schools, colleges and universities to make educational use of copies of TV and radio broadcasts. Television and radio programmes are an inspiring source of teaching materials and can be used to support learning in a broad range of creative uses. The Open University, celebrating its 50th anniversary in April this year, was an early innovator in using television programmes to create opportunities for learning on screen.
