Description
It has been suggested that one third of gay men in London now carry the AIDS virus. Doctors have predicted 10,000 deaths in the capital by 1989, spreading across the nation as time goes on. This programme examines whether Britain can avoid the epidemic that has already claimed over 10,000 victims in the USA. The programme visits New York and talks to the sufferers and the doctors battling with limited resources
