- Description
- For the first time, a chance to hear archive recordings of British propaganda World War II broadcasts to Nazi Germany. In the grounds of Woburn Abbey a complete radio station operated several short wave and medium wave programmes via a massive transmitter in Crowborough, Sussex. The style of programming, non-stop popular music with short news items, consisting of the truth, white lies and total deception, became popular listening for the German troops who never realised that they were listening to a British radio station broadcasting propaganda.
