The Home Secretary says the violence of a small minority should not be allowed to undermine what he calls our tolerant and understanding society. Speaking at a conservative party rally at Wokingham in Berkshire, Mr Whitelaw said regardless of the cause of the trouble, the violence must be stopped. [Box 2]
