Description

Unidentified male British Government official (poss. Armed Forces Minister John Stanley) is interviewed about the evacuation of British diplomats and civilians from Aden during the civil war in the country. He says they recognised very early on the gravity of the situation. Aden is in continuous use by Soviet naval vessels, and the Foreign Secretary has been communicating with Moscow to keep the country abreast of British intentions. Male interviewer not identified.
