Tributes have been pouring in all day for the former French President Francois Mitterrand who died this morning after a long battle with cancer. Sir Charles Powell, who was Foreign Affairs Adviser to former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, says the two had an ambiguous relationship.
