Women chant and sing in protest outside Newbury Magistrate’s court in support of the forty-four Greenham Common protesters who were arrested on New Year’s Day. An unidentified female protester says everyone is in great spirits and they lit forty-four candles to show their solidarity with the arrested women. 73-year-old Nell Logan was also arrested but released on grounds of her age; she expresses her disappointment. CND chair Joan Ruddock lends her support. Female reporter not identified.
