Peter Deeley reports from the memorial service in St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden of Detective Constable Jim Morrison, stabbed to death trying to apprehend a handbag thief whilst off duty. His boss Chief Superintendent Larry O’Neill pays tribute during the service; interviews with Home Secretary Kenneth Baker on the dangers involved in being a police officer; Metropolitan Police Commisioner Sir Peter Imbert on the murder of officers including Alan King and the fight against crime. Includes music from the Metropolitan Police Choir, and a lone bagpipe.
