Description
Environment Secretary Nicholas Ridley voices the Government’s determination to stamp out hooliganism associated with football. In future anyone wishing to watch a football match, unless they are disabled, or fans in special family enclosures, will have to carry an identity card. Football League President, Jack Dunnett says this will not be a deterrent. Rogan Taylor of the fans’ association says it is unfair on those fans who cause no trouble. Michael O’Neill reports.
