Marc de Leuw reports on the Westminster City Council homes-for-votes scandal following the suicide of councillor Dr Michael Dutt. Former leader of the council, Dame Shirley Porter blames publicity for Dutt’s death. Lawyer, Mark Stephens(?) says that legal advice has been given at every step. Lord Jeffrey Archer says that he hopes the people named in the auditor’s report have a chance to prove their innocence. Jake Arnold Foster of the Local Government Chronicle says the issue will probably not be settled until the next general election.
