A trial judge has recommended that Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, the two boys who murdered toddler James Bulger, be considered for release after eight years in jail. Ralph and Denise Bulger, the dead boy’s parents, speaking on Granada Television’s Good Morning programme, say anyone who takes a life should serve life and they will do everything they can to keep Thompson and Venables behind bars. Simon Cadman reports from Liverpool.
