- Four members of the New York-based vigilante group, the Guardian Angels are still being questioned by police and immigration officers at Gatwick Airport, while their request for entry to the UK is being considered. They had flown in to train recruits to fight crime on London’s underground system. Training organiser Tom Hibbert expresses his surprise and disappointment at their detention; Briton, George McKenzie hopes to join the Angels. Home Secretary Douglas Hurd is sceptical of the move to bring the Angels’ methods to Britain. Gareth Furby reports.
