Description

Nick Peters describes the scene at a school in Stockton, California, where a gunman dressed in combat gear opened fire on a playground full of children. Five children were killed. Police captain Dennis Perry describes the murderer, a man named Patrick West (or Patrick Purdy), and his fascination with the military. It is thought, because of the South-East Asian ethnic origin of the children, that this could be a racial attack. Townspeople give their reactions to the atrocity.
