The American vigilante group, The Guardian Angels, today begin an intensive campaign to recruit Londoners to patrol the Underground to make it safer. Shadow Transport Secretary Joan Ruddock doesn’t believe the group is the answer, and more transport police and staff are. Curtis Sliwa, head of the Angels, says the group will be providing a service. Nicky Broyd reports.
