- Angela Rippon Drivetime report on Sandra Gregory and Robert Lock, who have been charged in Thailand with drug smuggling, and on the 13 Britons currently serving Thai prison sentences for the offence, including Karyn Smith and Patricia Cahill. Includes expression of regret from Gregory after her Bangkok court appearance and live interview with lawyer Stephen Jakobi, Chairman and founder of the Fair Trials Abroad Campaign, about Gregory’s case. Jakobi, who also acts for Karyn Smith, arguing that Western bribery is reponsible for Thailand’s tough drugs policy, that Smith and Cahill were set up, and on the campaign for Government action to secure Smith’s release.
