Description
Paul Rowley interviews UK Shadow Employment Secretary, Tony Blair, following financial statistics which show that an economic recovery is not occurring as the Government predicted. Unemployment has topped two point six million - its highest level for four years - and the seasonally adjusted rise in 01/92 was more than fifty-three thousand - the twenty-second successive monthly increase. Almost one million people have now lost their jobs in the last two years. Blair says the figures are a damning indictment of the Government’s economic strategy.
