Mirror journalist Paul Foot arguing that Smith ‘s concern is justified, as Labour supporter Campbell is to be replaced by a right-wing appointment, and the political stance of the paper is to shift to the right. Foot also arguing that the Mirror will lose its social conscience, and the differences between the paper and the other mass circulation tabloid, the Sun, will disappear.
