Peter Murphy interviews Health Secretary Kenneth Clarke on his white paper on reform of the NHS, he doesnt understand why the Labour Party’s Robin Cook jumped to the conclusion he is lining the NHS up for privatisation. Proposals include hospitals opting out into trusts, contracts for GPs and tax relief for private healthcare. He says the proposals will make for a better future service.
