Description

Right-wingers in the Conservative Party have long pressed for radical reform of the social security system to cut public spending. It’s a view supported by Professor David Marsland of the Adam Smith Institute, who accepts there may be problems but thinks the cuts should go even deeper. Marsland also plugs his forthcoming book (presumably Welfare or Welfare State? Macmillan, 1996).
