- Alison Hodgkins reports on agriculture minister William Waldegraveâs tough line as EU talks in Brussels over transportation of live animals have collapsed with Northern and Southern European countries disagreeing. William Waldegrave speaks on the results of the meeting at a press conference. Jerry Lloyd, Head of RSPCA campaigns refuses to give up hope of a positive solution with standards across Europe raised. John Fraser, Europe correspondent says animal import costs would be exorbitant for Southern European states if the laws on maximum journey times came in. Negotiations will continue next month.
