- Wildlife experts in West Wales are fighting to save thousands of seabirds and other marine life threatened by oil leaking from the supertanker Sea Empress aground off Milford Haven which broke free from its moorings during last night’s storm, desperate attempts are being made to salvage the vessel. Brian Elliott is marine conservation officer at the Dyfed Wildlife Trust. He’s assessing the possible damage in the area and speaks to Dan Damon including on the general risk of having oil industry in the area and preparations being made.
