- American figure skater Tonya Harding has pleaded guilty to covering up a plot by her ex-husband and bodyguard, Jeff Gillooly and Shawn Eckhardt respectively, to attack her rival Nancy Kerrigan. As part of her sentence she has resigned from the US Figure Skating Association and will not be part of the team for the World Figure Skating Championships in Japan. Her lawyer, Robert Weaver, makes a statement outside of the courtroom while Tonya asks the media to give her some space. Report by US correspondent Paul Woodley.
