Andrew Manderstam reports on the discussions between US Deputy Secretary of State Warren Christopher and Algeria to negotiate the release of the American hostages from Iran. Speaking to press are: State Department spokesman John Trattner; Secretary of State Edmund Muskie; outgoing US President Jimmy Carter; President-elect Ronald Reagan. The hostages were later freed on 20/01/81.
