- Unidentified female reports on the recapturing of Khafji, Saudi Arabia, by allied forces. Iraqi President, Saddam Hussein is continuing to send more troops. US security analyst Anthony Cordesman comments. Also reported is the death of 11 US marines from California; a US Marine Corps spokeswoman reads a message from the widow of Corporal Steve Benzlin(?). The fate of a Hercules aircraft that was probably shot down behind enemy lines is reported, and Pentagon spokesman Pete Williams makes a press statement. Finally, tension between the Allies over Iran is reported and we hear from Jacques Andriani, the French Ambassador to the USA.
