- Description
- Report on the official Voice of Iraq radio station calling terrorists to launch attacks on allied targets and verbally attacking Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd. Baghdad radio also broadcast baffling messages that may have been coded orders or psychological warfare. Paul Beaver from Jane’s Group says this is how Israel activates its reservists. Major-General Robert Johnston of the US Army speaks about the chances of being a terrorist target after two soldiers were slightly injured in a terrorist attack in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. US Defense Secretary Dick Cheney speaks at a press conference about the likelihood of a ground attack to free Kuwait. 90 percent of Iraq’s army equipment is still intact and the elite Republican Guard is relatively unscathed.
