- Description
- There was another faltering step in the peace process in Northern Ireland today. But as ten days of consultations on elections got underway at Stormont it was clear that not everything was going according to plan. Colin Duncan reports. Includes contributions from Northern Ireland Secretary Patrick Mayhew; Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams; Irish Foreign Minister Dick Spring; DUP leader Peter Robinson and SDLP deputy leader Seamus Mallon. End of IRA ceasefire has excluded Sinn Fein from talks and Ulster Unionists and DUP have refused to take part in talks.
