- Following the IRA bombings in Warrington, Cheshire peace campaign group New Consensus attempted unsuccessfully to deliver a letter to Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams in Dublin. Speakers: New Consensus spokesman Michael Nugent; Anna Ni Brid(?), whose sister, a Roman Catholic nun, was killed by the IRA, who reads out a statement intended for the IRA; Jean Fagan, whose daughter, a member of Sinn Fein, was killed by the loyalist group UFF. Gerry(?) O’Connor reports from Dublin.
