- Description
- US President George Bush says he will consider military advice before launching a ground offensive in Kuwait. He reiterates that the aim of the war is still in line with the UN resolution to remove Iraqi President, Saddam Hussein from Kuwait; however, he concedes that he shares the view of UK Prime Minister John Major that if Saddam was removed from power during the conflict it would be no bad thing.
