- Description
- Allied forces are targeting oil tankers travelling between Baghdad, Iraq and Amman, Jordan, which is the route refugees are using to escape the war. Jordan’s economy is close to collapse and it is believed that the oil - owed to Jordan from debts incurred during the Iraq-Iran War â is being targeted to punish Jordan for being sympathetic to Iraq. The US Embassy has urged Americans to leave Jordan. Andy Stenton reports; an Arab says he was lucky to escape.
