- Steve Jones speaks on the AM programme to the Consumer and Corporate Affairs Minister Michael Howard who is in the radio car, ahead of his trip to Japan to prevent a trade war. He will be speaking to officials about fair access to the Japanese financial market after restrictions have been placed on British companies including Cable and Wireless. The Financial Services Act allows Britain to withdraw licences from firms whose countries do not allow similar opportunities, however he hopes not to have to use it against Japanese firms in the UK.
