Lizzie Knight reports on uproar over Health Secretary Virginia Bottomley’s plans to re-organise London’s hospitals, which is threatening her career as John Gorst MP is mounting a parliamentary challenge. Newspaper reports on the planned closure of the Royal Marsden Hospital (specialist in cancer care) are denied by Mrs Bottomley.
