- Description
- A leaked British Rail report into a rail crash near Stafford last month has severely criticised Railtrack for the way it handled the incident. The soon-to-be privatised company is accused of incompetence. It says communications were so bad, a woman was told her husband had been killed, only to find out later that he was alive in hospital. Railtrack spokesman Jackie Simpson insists the leaked document doesn’t paint an wholly accurate picture. Interviewer not identified.
