Chris Chambers reports on Metropolitan Police Commissioner Paul Condon’s announcement of new protective measures for police officers after a review following the murders of Constable Patrick Dunne and Sergeant Derek Robinson. Measures include permitting officers in armed response vehicles to carry handguns, and the piloting of bullet and stab resistant body vests and a new type of baton.
