Description
Speaking to reporters in Glasgow, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher condemns the Militant demonstration against the poll tax. Although she agrees there is reason for some people to be upset at the level of council tax in Labour-controlled areas, she thinks they should display their discontent in a peaceful and orderly manner, in accordance with democratic process. She goes on to comment that Conservative support has actually gone up in Scotland, and commends those who have been working to create jobs in the region. Broadcast on Radio Clyde.
