Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat says he is in touch with the people giving the Kuwait Airways hijackers their orders. Speaking at an Islamic conference in Kuwait, he warned the hijackers not to kill any more hostages, or he would pull out of talks. The Kuwaiti Government itself is standing firm on its resolve not to do any deals with the terrorists. But it is now coming under pressure from its own people, who are demanding tit-for-tat killings. Michael O’Neill reports.
