- Helen Costello reports on the London premiere of Hollywood film Rush, about drug addicts in the 1970s in a small American town. It was screened before an invited audience at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Piccadilly. After the performance Nick Ross introduces patron of the drugs charity Turning Point who organised the showing, Princess Diana (Princess of Wales), who makes an impassioned plea for greater tolerance towards drug users.
