- Sue Owen reports on a press conference featuring Fiona Goodman following the shooting dead of her husband, Special Constable Glenn Goodman in Yorkshire. She says the killers have destroyed her life and that of their baby son, Tom Goodman, and appeals for help in catching the murderers. The conference also includes statements by Brian Goodman, father; North Yorkshire Assistant Chief Constable John Giffard. Alexander (Sandy) Kelly was also shot and wounded during the incident. IRA terrorist Paul Magee was later convicted of the shooting.
