- Description
- Steve Harvey reports on some of the recommendations of the Annan Report on broadcasting: BBC to continue as at present but criticism of quality and range of output of BBC and ITV; setting up of Open Broadcasting Authority for television; shakeup of commercial and local radio as many contributors thought quality was low and stations purely jukeboxes; separate authority for local radio to be set up- the Local Broadcating Authority which should plan for stations to cover all of the country and allow stations to reflect local community needs.
