- Description
- An inquest jury has tonight recorded a verdict of unlawful killing in the case of private detective Daniel Morgan, who was found dead in his car outside the Golden Lion pub in Sydenham in South East London, an axe buried in his head. Early in the inquest, the jury had heard allegations that Morgan’s business partner, (William) John Rees, had plotted the murder, arranging a thousand pound contract killing with three policemen from Catford Police Station. After the verdict, Rees spoke to Update’s George Matheson.
