Description

Brian Widlake interviews Under-Secretary of State for the National Heritage Ministry, Robert Key about the announcement that London Zoo is to close at the end of 09/92. Staff have just six months to find new homes for more than a thousand animals. The Zoological Society says a lack of visitors makes it impossible to reach break-even targets. (The zoo was later saved by public donations and remained open).
