A High Court judge has thrown out an attempt by the Attorney General to have the editor of Private Eye, Ian Hislop, jailed for trying to frighten off Sonia Sutcliffe, the wife of the Yorkshire Ripper, from pursuing her libel action against the publication. Hislop gives a joyful statement, claiming vindication. Simon Israel reports.
