- Description
- Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is interviewed about fighting the drug problem throughout the world, justifying in particular the additional funding the UK Government is giving to Columbia. She would never like to see drugs legalised, saying it is the start to a depraved life, though she holds the view that prosecution is up to the police. Thatcher then speculates that the Strangeways Prison riot was partially drug-fuelled, and speaks in defence of prison policy elsewhere in the country. Male interviewer not identified.
