- Briton Al Cimino(? - pronounced Chimeeno), from Swansea, has made a desperate plea to be rescued from the Turkish jail in which he has been held for ten years, having been given a life sentence for possessing marijuana. In a tape smuggled out of the prison (excerpts heard), he has begged Margaret Thatcher to get him freed. John Cookson reports, and talks to Cimino’s former cellmate, Danny De Souza(?).
