- Description
- Kevin Murphy reports on a lively Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons. Labour MP Ken Livingstone uses the protection of parliamentary privilege to name two SAS officers (bleeped out here) he believes supplied the machine gun used to kill unionist paramilitary Robert McConnell. He also demanded to know who authorised SAS operations at political and operational levels. It prompted a frosty response from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with Labour MP Tam Dalyell, joint interim leader of the Social and Liberal Democrats Robert Maclennan and Leader of the House John Wakeham all weighing into the debate.
