Press conference featuring Northern Ireland Secretary, Sir Patrick Mayhew, in which he announces the outlawing of the loyalist organisation, the Ulster Defence Association (UDA). Mayhew has said he believes the UDA is a cover name for terrorist and criminal acts in the province. The move comes after a Government review following a series of outrages by loyalist extremists. Mayhew is asked why the security forces don’t take out the control and and command structures of the UDA and why Sinn Fein are not also banned. In three parts.
