- Football League chiefs have been summoned to the Home Office later today (1930 hours) following Saturday’s violence involving Leeds United supporters at Bournemouth. They will be asked to explain why they ignored police advice and refused to reschedule the fixture, which resulted in 25 people being injured. Pressure is growing for League games in holiday resorts to be banned at Bank Holiday weekends. Home Secretary David Waddington says the League have some explaining to do. He talks to political correspondent Paul Rowley.
