- Description
- The Police Force is in a state of crisis - under-funded, under-resourced and insufficiently supported by the Government or the public. This damning accusation has come from Alan Eastwood, Chairman of the Police Federation, speaking at the annual conference in Scarborough. Eastwood told delegates that the Government is ineffective, helping criminals by cutting back on resources and failing to defend the Police against a barrage of unfair criticism from the public and the press. Interviewer is Margaret Shiels.
