An inquiry has heard that a family’s convictions for running an IRA bomb factory were unsafe and unsatisfactory. Counsel for the inquiry said proof from scientific tests that the seven members of the Maguire family had handled the explosive nitro-glycerine was unreliable. From the inquiry, Simon Israel reports.
