Description
A leading scientist is claiming that people are dying from an illness linked to mad cow disease. Dr Gareth Roberts says Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is often mistaken for Alzheimer’s disease, or senility, so there may be many more cases than previously thought. Roberts is one of a group of medical experts that is campaigning for a ban on the feeding of cattle or sheep offal to pigs. Simon Bowden reports.
