Ten thousand American troops are on standby as President George Bush considers sending them in to Panama to overthrow dictator General Noriega. The US Government says the opposition would have won last Sunday’s elections if it had not been for widespread fraud on the part of the Noriega regime. From Washington, Nick Peters reports.
